With his dynamic art direction and design-driven focus, Marco has the exceptional ability to incorporate big ideas into award-winning creative. An eye for colour, composition, fonts, user experience and of course, kerning, inspires variety and uniqueness in all of his work.
In 2009, Marco co-founded Blackjet Inc. where he emphasized the importance of a design-centric approach to branding and advertising. This creative focus quickly drove the agency into the spotlight, capturing headlines for critical acclaim and winning over 35 International creative awards. His work has been featured in award annuals worldwide and continues to challenge convention.
Marco’s integral role at Blackjet begins with strategic input and carries on in the creation, design and implementation of every project.
Prior to Blackjet, Marco spent 7 years perfecting his art direction craft at The Brand Factory. His involvement included projects of corporate identity, advertising & design, and experiential & interactive design. Most recently, Marco has overseen the brand identity development for several place-branding exercises including The Township of Muskoka Lakes, The Metalworks, West Block, Little Italy, The Plant and Yonge + St. Clair.
In his free time, Marco likes getting active and reuniting with nature. Summers are spent at the cottage with his wife and kids where they enjoy canoeing on the lake. In the winter, Marco enjoys snowboarding with family and friends.
